Services

 

  • Mental Health Assessment

    A mental health assessment would be completed to evaluate your child's emotional functioning and ability to think, reason, and remember (cognitive functioning). It may be useful in detecting and evaluating mental health disorders (i.e. anxiety, depression) and evaluate the mental status of a child referred for psychological treatment resulting from problems at school, work or home.

    A mental health assessment may include information related to history, performance at home, school and community settings, DSM-IV diagnosis, recommendations for further treatment and clinical judgement.  Oftentimes, courts, DHS, schools and foster families find this information useful.  Completing a Mental Health Assessment does not necessarily suggest that a child should continue with further treatment.

  • 30 Minute Initial Consultation

    It is my philosophy that the best therapy occurs when the client and clinician feel there is a good connection.  Therefore, I offer an initial 30 minute consultation at no cost to get to know one another, discuss treatment services and decide whether we will continue working together.  If so, we will complete a treatment plan together. 

     

    If I am not the right therapist for you after our consultation, I am happy to facilitate an appropriate referral.

  • In-Home or Community-Based Services

    I am available to provide any of the services I offer to you in your home, school, church or community setting of your choice.  This often allows for a more relaxed setting, increases family comfort and decreases stressors on the family.  It also encourages reluctant family members, school members or community supports to join more easily. 

    • $10.00

  • Individual Therapy

    One-on-one therapy may focus on, but is not limited to issues including depression, anxiety, phobias, fears, relationships, trauma, abuse, attachment, empowerment, self-esteem, social skills, foster care issues, grief and loss and parenting.

    • $75.00

  • Family Therapy

    May include parent-child, sibling and/or parents only.  Focus may include, but is not limited to, issues including: effective parenting strategies, strengthening family relationships, positive communication, rules and roles, life-stressors, sibling or parent-child conflict, separation and reintegration.
    • $95.00

  • Case Management Services

    May include phone support to parents, caregivers or community resources.  I am also available to consult with teachers, Primary Care Physicians, DHS Caseworkers and other important figures in your child's life to promote excellence in all areas.  This may also include facilitating a Plan of Care meeting.

    • $15.00

  • Copayment

    Many insurance companies require a copayment for each session. In our initial session we will define the amount and terms of copayment. 
    • $5.00

 

Fees

30 Minute Consultation: No Charge

Mental Health Assessment: $125

Individual Therapy: $75 per 60 min session

Family Therapy: $95 per 60 min session

In-Home or Community-Based Service: Additional $10 fee per service (may be negotiable depending on location) 

Case Management: $15 per 15 minute increment

I do offer a sliding scale.  Fees may be reduced due to income and/or family circumstances as well as contractual agreements I have with private insurance panels.

Payment

Insurance is accepted.  Currently, I am considered a Preferred Provider and a Participating Provider with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, AETNA, United Health Care and MHN.  If you have a different carrier, please let me know as I may be able to contract with them as well.  

Deductible/Co-Payments:  Clients are responsible for deductible and co-payments, if applicable.  I will check eligibility prior to our first counseling session. 

Cash or checks are accepted at the start of each appointment.
